adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Hedda has found a home! Her story: Cluj, Romania. Warning, warning: Hypoglycemic shock programmed! The sibling band Hedda, Quiles, Dea, Coralie, Zuri, Rufus, and Shaun, are tapping their way directly into the hearts of our helpers at their foster home in Romania. Now, the wonderful band is searching for a forever home. The little ones had a really rough start in life, as they were found in a plastic bag. Fortunately, there was an open spot in a foster home, and they are currently in safety until travel arrangements. Hedda looks like a little snowflake with her sparkling white fur and the delicate cream marking that gently sweeps over her nose. The little Hedda is a very delicate mouse, she tends to be more reserved in some situations and doesn't rush forward immediately, although of course she demands plenty of cuddles and attention, just in a cautious way. The band is overall incredibly open and lovable. They get along well with other dogs, cats, children, and all other two and four-legged beings. For little strays, they are really well socialized. Currently, the babies weigh only a few kg and we assume they will grow to be medium-sized when fully grown. For the social puppies, we are looking for people who don't expect anything from them at first. The little strays are still babies and need to learn everything in peace. If you take them with patience and love, they will definitely learn the puppy ABCs quickly. All of them have puberty ahead, a time when hormones go wild and young dogs often have a few ideas in their heads. With loving consistency, the puppies should be guided through this time. A visit to a positively working dog or puppy school would be greatly appreciated! After a positive assessment, you will have them microchipped, dewormed, and equipped with an EU pet passport. Even a loving foster home would be a huge treat for them. Have the sweet ones made your heart beat a little faster? We look forward to your inquiry! Many thanks to Andrea, who has taken on the nametag sponsorship.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Hedda hat ihr Zuhause gefunden! Ihre Geschichte: Cluj, Rumänien. Achtung, Achtung: Zuckerschock vorprogrammiert!

About Hedda

What life with Hedda looks like

Hedda is a extra-large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Hedda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Hedda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Hedda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Hedda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Hedda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Hedda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Hedda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
