Helli

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 4 months

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal!Helli has found her luck! Her story: Helli has already experienced more than a puppy should. Together with her mother, she was found on the street – alone and vulnerable. But she has fought her way back into life and shows every day how strong and lively she is. Currently, the little mouse lives in a foster home, where she is lovingly cared for. Despite her tough start – she survived Parvo – she is a curious, lively, and playful puppy girl who is now ready to explore the world. She wishes for a home where she can arrive, feel secure, and learn step by step everything a puppy needs to know. People with patience, time, and a lot of heart are exactly what she needs now. Helli travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas and with her EU pet passport to her home. Who will gift this little fighter a loving forever home? Thank you, Monika V., for your nametag sponsorship. Thanks to you, Helli has a pretty name and thus an identity.

About Helli

What life with Helli looks like

Helli is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Helli, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Helli?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Helli on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Helli if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Helli already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Helli isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Helli and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
