Hermes needs a chance to discover what it's like to live in a home, surrounded by calm, affection, and people who can keep an eye on him. He has a neurological condition that could cause seizures, so we need to find a family who can look after him and watch how he progresses. For now he doesn't need medication, but he does need a quiet environment and should not be left alone for more than about 8 hours a day. Life at the shelter is not the most suitable environment for Hermes. We would like him to enjoy the stability of a home, where he can feel safe and receive the care he needs. Because of his situation, it is important that we find a family who can keep an eye on him, something that is hard to guarantee at the shelter, where schedules limit how closely he can be monitored. We are looking for a foster home initially for six months, although it could extend indefinitely if he does not find an adoptive family. He can live with other cats, so he could share his home with feline companions! Will you help us find a home for Hermes? If you can't foster him, sharing his story can also bring him closer to the opportunity he needs so much.
