Hiperion is a beautiful Podenco mix who has been with us since September 5th, 2023. He is 50 cm tall and is compatible with both male and female dogs, but has not been tested with cats. Hiperion is looking for a safe and loving home. Behind his gentle eyes lies a moving story. He comes from a seizure where many dogs had to live completely isolated from the outside world for years, unfortunately a sad reality. People, everyday noises, or walks - all of this was unknown to Hiperion for a long time and understandably made him afraid. Despite this difficult start, he makes small but significant progress every day. He is a sensitive and cautious dog who needs time to build trust. However, once he realizes that nothing is happening to him, he slowly allows himself to get close and shows his loving character. Hiperion is very social with other dogs. He loves the company of other dogs, plays playfully with them, and strongly orients himself towards confident fellow dogs. That's why we wish for him a home where a friendly first dog already lives, this will help him feel safer faster. He now increasingly knows and enjoys walks. Although new or loud situations still frighten him, he finds his way to relaxation more and more with a calm and patient companion. His new people should have experience with anxious, insecure dogs and bring a lot of empathy, patience, and understanding. A securely fenced garden would be a big plus, because in unfamiliar situations Hiperion could quickly flee, which is why he absolutely needs a safety harness and should not be left unattended in the garden. Whoever adopts Hiperion will not get a dog who immediately goes through life carefree, but a special companion who shows how much trust and love is in him with every small success. In a home where he is gradually introduced to new environmental stimuli and masters new situations together as a team.

Hinter seinen sanften Augen verbirgt sich eine bewegende Geschichte. Er stammt aus einer Beschlagnahmung, bei der viele Hunde jahrelang völlig abgeschottet von der Außenwelt leben mussten, leider trauriger Alltag. Menschen, Alltagsgeräusche oder Sparziergänge – all das war für Hiperion lange Zeit unbekannt und machte ihm verständlicherweise Angst. Trotz diesem schweren Start macht er jeden Tag kleine aber bedeutende Fortschritte. Er ist ein sensibler und vorsichtiger Hund der Zeit braucht um Vertrauen aufzubauen. Hat er jedoch erst mal gemerkt, dass ihm nichts passiert, lässt er langsam Nähe zu und zeigt seinen liebevollen Charakter. Mit anderen Hunden ist Hiperion ausgesprochen sozial. Er liebt die Gesellschaft mit den anderen Hunden, spielt ausgelassen mit ihnen und orientiert sich stark an souveränen Artgenossen. Deshalb wünschen wir uns für ihn ein Zuhause, in dem bereits ein freundlicher Ersthund lebt, dieser wird ihm helfen sich schneller sicherer zu fühlen. Sparziergänge kennt und genießt er inzwischen zunehmend. Zwar erschrecken ihn neue oder laute Situationen noch, doch mit einer ruhigen und geduldigen Begleitung findet er immer besser in die Entspannung. Seine neuen Menschen sollten Erfahrung mit ängstlichen, unsicheren Hunden haben und viel Einfühlungsvermögen, Geduld und Verständnis mitbringen. Ein sicher hoch eingezäunter Garten wäre ein großes Plus, denn in ungewohnten Situationen könnte Hiperion schnell flüchten, weshalb er auch unbedingt ein Sicherheitsgeschirr tragen und sich nicht unbeaufsichtigt im Garten aufhalten sollte. Wer Hiperion adoptiert, bekommt keinen Hund der sofort unbeschwert durchs Leben geht, sondern einen besonderen Begleiter, der mit jedem kleinen Erfolg zeigt, wie viel Vertrauen und Liebe in ihm steckt.
