Housebroken: yes Origin: stray ID number: 3898 Our Houdini took some time to get used to us at first. He spent a lot of time in his hiding boxes, but luckily he was always happy with some extra attention or something tasty. Nowadays, we see more and more of the sweet Houdini behind that hiding. Now we open his door, he comes out immediately curious. First, he goes quietly to explore his enclosure and then he is curious if maybe someone is around who wants a cozy cuddle moment. Houdini knows his regular caregivers by now and that's noticeable! If you sit down quietly with him, he comes over to you. He gives lovely kisses, visibly enjoys the attention and starts purring contentedly. He has also discovered that a lap is actually a pretty nice place. He came to lie down on my lap recently, completely satisfied, with his head up and that sweet, relaxed look in his eyes. Such a moment when you would love to hug him all over! Houdini can still find sounds and crowds a bit exciting. That's why we're looking for a quiet household where he can grow in confidence at his own pace. A family with some older, quiet children who have already learned how to treat a cat nicely and respectfully would possibly fit him well. Zindelijk: ja Herkomst: zwerver Docanr: 3898 Onze Houdini had in het begin nog wat tijd nodig om aan ons te wennen. Hij bracht veel tijd door in zijn schuildoosjes, maar gelukkig was hij altijd blij met wat extra aandacht of iets lekkers. Inmiddels zien we steeds meer van de lieve Houdini die daarachter zat verstopt. Zetten we tegenwoordig zijn deurtje open, dan komt hij er meteen nieuwsgierig uit. Eerst gaat hij rustig op onderzoek uit in zijn verblijf en daarna is hij benieuwd of er misschien iemand in de buurt is die wel zin heeft in een gezellig knuffelmomentje. De vaste verzorgers kent Houdini inmiddels goed en dat merk je! Als je rustig bij hem gaat zitten, komt hij gezellig naar je toe. Hij geeft heerlijke kopjes, geniet zichtbaar van de aandacht en begint tevreden te spinnen. Ook heeft hij inmiddels ontdekt dat een schoot eigenlijk best een fijne plek is. Hij kwam laatst lekker op schoot liggen, helemaal tevreden, met zijn koppie omhoog en die lieve, ontspannen blik in zijn ogen. Zo’n moment waarop je hem het liefst helemaal zou platknuffelen! Houdini kan geluiden en drukte nog wat spannend vinden. Daarom zoeken we voor hem een rustig huishouden waar hij op zijn eigen tempo verder kan groeien in vertrouwen. Een gezin met wat oudere, rustige kinderen die al geleerd hebben hoe je fijn en respectvol met een kat omgaat, zou eventueel goed bij hem kunnen passen.
