Hübscher Setter

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 5 years

Arlequine Rasse: Setter Mix Age: born 01/01/2021 Size: approx. 45-50cm Weight: approx. 15 kg Neutered: Yes other dogs? Yes children? Does he know cats? Must be tested Mediterranean test? Negative! Before departure an up-to-date test will be made. Location: Shelter (K) Arlequine is a beautiful dog who unfortunately had to experience how little some people value a dog's life: Arlequine was simply thrown over the fence at the shelter. Initially, he was understandably very scared and shy. But Arlequine has developed well. He is gaining more and more confidence and now enjoys contact with people. ❤️ Arlequine is a young, spirited hunting dog who enjoys exercise and extensive walks. He is not an unruly dog, on the contrary: He is attentive, eager to learn and learns quickly. We are looking for an active family for Arlequine who wants to discover the world with him. Before the journey to the new home, X-rays will be taken on request, for a fee, to ensure that all joints are in order. The fee will be decided by the number of X-rays. Arlequine Rasse: Setter Mischling Alter: geb. 01.01.2021 Größe: ca. 45cm-50cm Gewicht: ca. 15 Kg Kastriert: Ja andere Hunde? Ja Kinder? Kennt er nicht Katzen? Muss getestet werden Mittelmeertest? Negativ!

About Hübscher Setter

What life with Hübscher Setter looks like

Hübscher Setter is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Hübscher Setter, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Hübscher Setter?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Hübscher Setter on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Hübscher Setter if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Hübscher Setter already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Hübscher Setter isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Hübscher Setter and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
