Hugo & Harley REDCAR, NORTH YORKSHIRE HUGO – 5 years old Male, standard, smooth chocolate (11kg) Neutered HARLEY – 5 years old Female brown bulldog Neutered Adoption Fee £450 We don’t usually rehome bull-dogs, but Harley is a dachshund at heart and has a wonderful bond with her dachshund brother, Hugo, so we are looking for a family with space in their hearts for both these two. This gentle pair are looking for a new home due to a change in circumstances in their current family which means they are sadly being left alone for long periods of time and are not getting the time and attention they deserve. Both dogs are incredibly affectionate with sweet, loving natures. Outside the home, Hugo is the more outgoing and adventurous of the two. He is a typical dachshund and his recall could use some work – once he catches an interesting scent, he’s determined to follow it! Hugo absolutely adores a ball and would happily play fetch all day if given the chance. On walks he can sometimes be a little excitable around other dogs, but once he’s said hello he settles quickly. Harley is very much Hugo’s rock. They do everything together, from sleeping side by side to playing in the garden. Harley loves being close to her people and can be a little sensitive to loud noises (which can make her jump), but otherwise she is a happy, gentle girl. Harley also enjoys a game of fetch – though she’s still working on the “bringing the ball back” part. She is very relaxed around other dogs and will happily run around a field alongside Hugo – she has more than enough energy to keep up with him and is a fit dog. Both dogs are in excellent health. They sleep downstairs in the kitchen and are house-trained.
