Hulk

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 4 years

Hulk, a Pinscher mix, loves his people. Hulk was surrendered at a Spanish animal shelter. We can't say anything about his past. Luckily, he got the chance to travel to a foster home in Germany. There, he can now experience how beautiful a loving and cared-for dog life can be. And Hulk shows every day what a great companion is in him: he is now house-trained, walks well on a leash and drives problem-free in the car. He gets along wonderfully with his fellow dogs and meets other dogs very socially. What is especially important to the little heartbreaker, however, is the closeness to his people. He is a very cuddly and attached dog who enjoys petting and joint cuddling hours extensively. Hulk finds it very difficult to be alone, this must be practiced with him in small steps. The Pinscher (Mix?) is a sporty guy: he loves long, extended walks and wants to be physically and mentally occupied in his future home. Hulk probably also brings typical characteristics of this breed. His future people should therefore deal with the breed characteristics in advance. We would be particularly happy about a home where there is already corresponding dog or breed experience. Cats should not live in his new home. Children from about 12 years on the other hand, we can imagine well, as long as they know the respectful and responsible handling of dogs. For Hulk, we wish active, loving people who are not just looking for a dog, but a real companion. People who like to be outdoors, give him security and security and at the same time give him the time to fully recover physically.

DE·Show original

About Hulk

What life with Hulk looks like

Hulk is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Hulk, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Hulk?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Hulk on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Hulk if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Hulk already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Hulk isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Hulk and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
