Hund Rocky

Rocky was probably a German Shepherd-Husky mix and about 12 years old. He lived at the Tierlebenshof since July 9, 2008. Rocky’s family, where he lived from puppy age, gave Rocky to us. Reason: the property of their new house was not fenced, and Rocky kept running away. With tears in their eyes, they said goodbye to him and were sad about not being able to keep him. So it seemed! In the evening, they called to ask if Rocky would grieve (which he, by the way, did not do for a single second) and told us on the phone that they now had a puppy(!). At that moment, we once again did not understand the world! Rocky was simply a wonderful dog. The dream of every dog lover. Rocky was friendly and open to both people and fellow animals. After about half a year at the Tierlebenshof, the daughter of the former owners wanted to visit him. We took Rocky out of the house. He walked curiously to the gate. Upon arrival, he did not care the slightest bit about his visitor and showed no interest. On the contrary, he stood in front of us and looked at us intensely. He wanted to show that he knew very well where he belonged in the future! For us, he had a secure residence right for life (like all farm animals)!

Rocky war vermutlich ein Schäferhund-Husky-Mix und ca.12 Jahre alt. Auf dem Tierlebenshof lebte er seit dem 09.07.2008. Rocky’s Familie, bei der er von Welpenalter an lebte, gab Rocky bei uns ab. Begründung: das Grundstück ihres neuen Hauses sei nicht eingezäunt und Rocky liefe ständig weg. Unter Tränen verabschiedeten sie sich von ihm und waren traurig, ihn nicht behalten zu können. So der Anschein! Abends riefen sie an, um sich zu erkundigen, ob Rocky trauern würde (was er übrigens nicht eine Sekunde gemacht hat) und erzählten uns am Telefon, dass sie nun einen Welpen(!) hätten. In diesem Moment haben wir wieder mal die Welt nicht mehr verstanden! Rocky war einfach nur ein toller Hund. Der Traum eines jeden Hundefreundes. Sowohl Menschen, wie auch Artgenossen gegenüber war Rocky freundlich und offen. Nachdem er ungefähr ½ Jahr auf dem Tierlebenshof wohnte, wollte ihn die Tochter der ehemaligen Besitzer besuchen. Wir holten Rocky aus dem Haus. Er lief neugierig mit zum Tor. Dort angekommen kümmerte er sich nicht im Geringsten um seinen Besuch und zeigte keinerlei Interesse. Im Gegenteil, er stellte sich quer vor uns und sah uns intensiv an. Wollte er damit zeigen, dass er sehr genau wisse, wo er auch zukünftig hingehört! Bei uns hat er jedenfalls ein sicheres Wohnrecht auf Lebenszeit gehabt (wie alle Hoftiere)!
