INEZ

Our featured rescue dog, Inez! Inez is a 3-year-old, charming and sweet German Shepherd girl. She lives in a shelter among several hundred dogs. We would love to give her a home of her own and a family of her own, where she will receive much more time and attention. Inez is adaptable, obedient, and a good dog. She is extremely motivated by tasty treats, smart, learns easily, and would make a loyal companion for someone. She behaves nicely in a pack, but she does chase cats. She adores the company of people and children. She is a bit scatterbrained and will need training; attending dog school would do her a great deal of good, so we only recommend her for homes with older children. Inez can be adopted under contract after a preliminary home check. You can get acquainted with her in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county. Contact: We would ask that you send a introductory letter via Messenger to Vera Szigyártó about where and how the rescued dog would live with you; or alternatively, send an email to cnjalapitvany.com. facebook.com/vera.szigyarto

Közvetített gazdakeresőnk Inez! Inez egy 3 éves, bűbájos, kedves németjuhász kislány. Menhelyen él, több száz kutya között. Saját otthont, saját családot szeretnénk neki, ahol sokkal több idő jut majd rá. Inez alkalmazkodó, szófogadó, jó kutya. Finom falatokkal rendkívül jól motiválható, okos, könnyen tanul, hűséges társa lenne valakinek. Falkában szépen viselkedik, a cicát viszont megkergeti.

About INEZ

What life with INEZ looks like

INEZ is a young adult dog waiting at CNJ Állatvédő Egyesület in Hungary.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting INEZ, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about INEZ?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. CNJ Állatvédő Egyesület handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw INEZ on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt INEZ if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — CNJ Állatvédő Egyesület will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is INEZ already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if INEZ isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with CNJ Állatvédő Egyesület early rather than rehoming privately; they know INEZ and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
