In terms of temperament, Irene is rather shy, gentle, and sensitive, yet also independent. She needs some time to build trust, but once she does, she shows herself to be friendly and allows closeness. At the animal shelter, she has developed well. She enjoys going for walks with her trusted people and then walks calmly on the leash, happily exploring her surroundings. She also handles vet visits exemplary well. Irene gets along well with her fellow animal residents, although she doesn’t have much interest in playful antics. In her new home, having other dogs wouldn’t be an issue, but it’s not essential for Irene to feel comfortable. Vom Charakter her ist Irene eine eher schüchterne, sanfte und sensible, aber auch unabhängige Hündin. Sie braucht etwas Zeit, um Vertrauen zu fassen, zeigt sich dann aber freundlich und lässt Nähe zu. Im Tierheim hat sie sich gut entwickelt. Sie geht gerne mit ihren vertrauten Personen spazieren und läuft dann auch ganz entspannt an der Leine und erkundet die Umgebung. Auch Tierarztbesuche meistert sie vorbildlich. Mit ihren tierischen Mitbewohnern versteht sich Irene gut, wobei sie keine großen spielerischen Ambitionen hat. In ihrem neuen Zuhause wären weitere Hunde kein Thema, aber auch nicht zwingend notwendig, damit sich Irene wohl fühlt. Vielmehr legt Irene Wert auf ein entspanntes und liebevolles Zuhause.
