Izzy
Mixed Breed · Female
Approx 3 years INTRODUCING THE ADORABLE IZZY!!! Sometimes, the best things in life just need a little extra time to find their perfect match. That’s our Izzy! A year and a half ago, Izzy was found dangerously close to a busy road. Thankfully, a friend, Stella, rescued her and brought her to safety. Since then she’s been lovingly cared for, but what she’s really waiting for is a family of her own. Izzy is small size, with beautiful big brown eyes and the sweetest personality. She absolutely adores her squeaky toys, is fantastic with both dogs and cats, and is just a happy, playful soul. Izzy has a condition called diabetes insipidus. In plain terms, her internal “water intake sensor” doesn’t quite work right. But with just a couple of pills a day, she is perfectly fine, healthy, and happy. The medication costs around £80 a month and sadly, that has caused people to overlook her. It breaks our hearts because she is so incredibly worth it. We’ve been asked if we could help, and just look at that face. how could we say no? Izzy needs a rural or semi-rural home with a secure garden and plenty of grass to zoom around on with someone who is home most of the day, with a big caring heart who understands the patience, love and time it takes to help a little rescue dog transition to a family pet. She needs another friendly dog in the home to play with, but more importantly, to learn from and copy. Izzy can live with dog-savvy cats If you have the space, the experience and a huge heart, Izzy will repay you a million times over in pure love, goofy entertainment and unwavering loyalty. If Izzy has just won your heart please get in touch As you can imagine, each one of our dogs is very precious to us, they haven’t had the best start in life and therefore it is absolutely crucial we find the right homes for them. When you complete a registration form, please tell us as much as you can about why you are looking to adopt a dog and how you think you can meet their needs. Every dog is an individual and our amazing rehoming team will know exactly what type of home each dog needs to thrive. For example, will the dog cope with a small garden or is it the type of dog who needs to live in a rural environment? Will the dog enjoy being around children, or is it best suited to an adult only home? Will it cope sharing a home with other pets, or is it best as an only dog? Are you outdoorsy types who like to go hiking, or would you prefer a dog who is happy to snuggle up on the sofa with you? Our rehoming team will be very familiar with the needs of each of our dogs and the information you provide on your application form will help them to match you with the right dog.
