Jacky

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 3 months

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt now this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Jacky can travel directly to his final destination! His story: Zalau, Romania. Sweet, sweeter, the sweetest: This is how they come, Jacky, Luis, Pauli, Katharina, Joselie, Nino, and Luke. This little razzle-dazzle pack was set free with their mother Narnia on a farm next to the animal shelter. It was probably as usual: After Narnia's unwanted pregnancy, the family had to leave. The only comfort is that they were not set free somewhere in the nowhere, but next to the animal shelter. This shows some responsibility and likely saved the little family's lives. Now, Jacky eagerly awaits being noticed. For that, he already knows how to pose for photos. From us, he is now called just the model 😉 Jacky shows puppy-like behavior, he is friendly and playful, and always seeks the company of humans. He is very curious and compliant. He gets along with dogs, but whether that also applies to cats, we have not yet tested. Like his siblings, he hates the cold. Jacky currently weighs 4 kg. His mother is 50 cm tall, and it is assumed that Jacky will also be of medium size. Additionally, Jacky's mother is very obedient and friendly, showing an exceptionally balanced behavior. Ideal prerequisites for Jacky's future. Jacky is looking for people who will not expect anything from him at first and will show him how a normal dog life works. He is still a baby and has a lot to learn. One or two mishaps should not be held against him, and Jacky should always be guided with a positive reinforcement training style. He is looking forward to his new life with nature walks, lots of snuggling, and also a visit to puppy school. In the first year of life, puppies should not be left alone as much as possible. Additionally, the more demanding pubertal phase is approaching. The hormone chaos turns the little rascals' lives upside down. They "forget" much of what they have learned, and their ears are on high alert. Therefore, it is especially important in this phase to consistently but lovingly train. And there is also good news: This phase will pass! Due to his age, Jacky is not yet neutered. But he is travel-ready, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. His EU pet passport is also in his luggage. After a positive Naturally, he wishes for a forever home, but even a foster home would help him. Could you imagine that a cozy spot in your home and heart is still free for Jacky? Thank you Natalie P.! You gave Jacky a beautiful name and the start of his new life.

About Jacky

What life with Jacky looks like

Jacky is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jacky, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jacky?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jacky on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jacky if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jacky already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jacky isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jacky and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
