5 miesięcy. Tyle czasu Jagienka spędziła w schronisku. Cała jej przestrzeń życiowa to była kennelowa klatka. Ile czasu można wytrzymać, gdy każdy dzień i noc ogranicza się do posłanka, miski z jedzeniem i kuwetą? Jagience było coraz trudniej. W pewnym momencie na jej karku pojawiła się ogromna rana. Po konsultacji dermatologicznej wiemy, że najpewniej o podłożu alergicznym. W schronisku rana nie chciała się goić i robiła się coraz większa – kotka, zapewne czując dyskomfort związany ze swędzeniem, a dodatkowo przeżywając stres, ciągle tę ranę rozdrapywała. Ze względu na stan psychiczny i zdrowotny, w lutym 2023 roku nasza fundacja objęła Jagienkę opieką i koteczka trafiła do domu tymczasowego. Obecnie jej ogromna rana na jej karku prawie całkiem się zagoiła. Niestety cały czas nie udało nam się do końca uporać ze świądem i Jagienka jest wciąż diagnozowana i leczona. Jagienka bardzo lubi kontakt z człowiekiem. Mimo ograniczającego ruchy kołnierza, ociera się o nogi i domaga głaskania. Jak każdy szanujący się kot, Jagienka ma też oczywiście swoje zdanie w relacjach kocio-ludzkich, ale wyraźnie komunikuje, kiedy potrzebuje więcej przestrzeni.
