adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Jaina is a sweet little dog with a heart of gold. It's hard to believe that this incredibly cute fluff ball has had a not-so-great life but still manages to be so cheerful. To help Jaina find a home as quickly as possible, we would like to introduce the little fluff ball with a wag in Wuschel-Optik, which is warm and friendly to two-legged friends. At 27 cm shoulder height and weighing 7 kg, the approximately 3-year-old female dog Jaina has a lot of potential. Calm sniffs around and shared playtime would certainly be right up Jaina's alley. Despite her modest past, Jaina appreciates the small joys of life and is easily content. A cozy cuddle basket, lots of cuddles, and simply the company of her favorite people would likely make her very happy. At the moment, Jaina lives in a private foster home with dogs and cats. So she can already get a taste of life in a household. However, Jaina still has a lot to learn. But with a large portion of understanding, patience, and the support of her people, the cheerful female dog will surely become a little model student. The friendly Jaina also gets along well with her fellow animals and will surely inspire a few animal friends in her vicinity. We hope that our girl will be adopted after a positive match. She would then be neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, and in possession of an EU pet passport. Who is touched by Jaina's cheerful nature and is inspired to have her forever in their life? Many thanks Bianka S.! You have given Jaina an identity. Date: 28.03.

Vielen Dank Bianka S.! Du hast Jaina eine Identität geschenkt Stand: 28.03.2025

About Jaina

What life with Jaina looks like

Jaina is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jaina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jaina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jaina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jaina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jaina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jaina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jaina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
