Jamie – available from September

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Jaimie is a male domestic shorthair kitten born May 2026. This cute tabby kitten is looking for a home of his own. He is currently being looked after in a private shelter with his littermates. It is a lovely shelter but is not a home. Jaimie likes to play and enjoys cat toys. Their mum gave birth in the middle of nowhere, she was probably a stray, because she was almost feral. Someone found them and brought them to us at the beginning of May. Their mum was spayed but she didn’t stay, once she was let out. At least the cycle of breeding has been stopped and now the babies can find their forever homes 🏡 Jaimie is super fun- like all kittens! He is affectionate with people and is sociable with other cats. Jaimie would love another cat or kitten in his home but it is not essential. He could also be homed with a calm, cat friendly dog. We are looking for a home where he can go outside after healing from being neutered or an indoor home (which has a catio as an added bonus) Jaimie is not yet neutered, this will need to be done by the adopter when old enough as stated on adoption contact. Jaimie is vaccinated (including rabies) and microchipped. He tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Jaimie, currently fostered Deva, Romania. If you are interested please message or call between 9am to 5pm Mon – Fri or 9am to 4pm Sat. . Jaimie is a male domestic shorthair kitten born May 2026. About Jamie – available from September

What life with Jamie – available from September looks like

Jamie – available from September is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Safe Rescue for Dogs in United Kingdom.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jamie – available from September, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jamie – available from September?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Safe Rescue for Dogs handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jamie – available from September on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jamie – available from September if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Safe Rescue for Dogs will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jamie – available from September already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jamie – available from September isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Safe Rescue for Dogs early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jamie – available from September and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
