Jaś is living a peaceful life at DT with Mrs. Joanna, along with his friend Bella. The kitten came to us weak and with pneumonia. He had little chance of survival but responded very well to basic treatment and now Jaś is looking for a home. He has been looking for a long time... He was very scared but was not a feral cat. With Bella in DT they form a united team because she shows him a lot and he, by observing, opens up and learns a lot. Jaś is about 8 months old, vaccinated, chipped, and neutered. Jaś is a kitten who needs time to trust, it took about 3 months in DT, but now he comes up on his own and asks for pets, doesn't hide from strangers, is nicely brushed and has his claws trimmed... a typical couch potato kitten, loved and cuddled. He is FELV positive, but this does not mean he is sick - he is a carrier of the feline leukemia virus and this excludes his adoption to a home where cats are negative, unvaccinated against leukemia. Positive kittens live shorter and one always has to be prepared that they may get sick and one will have to say goodbye earlier. However, does this mean he is sentenced to homelessness? After all, he is a normal healthy kitten, who like others wants to be loved and hugged. He doesn't understand why no one wants him... and that's his tragedy. There is no reason for euthanasia of a healthy cat just because he is an FELV carrier... and we won't release him into the wild because if he gets sick, he will die in pain without care. Jaś is waiting for a home where he can spend the rest of his life. No going outside because that is a plus (FELV+). Maybe someone will love him anyway. Jaś wiedzie spokojne życie w DT u Pani Joanny, wraz z koleżanką Bellą Koteczek trafił do nas słaby i z zapaleniem płuc. Miał małe szanse na przeżycie ale super reagował na podstawowe leczenie i oto Jaś szuka teraz domku A szuka już długo… Był bardzo wystraszony ale nie był dzikuskiem. Z Bellą w DT stanowią zgrany team bo ona dużo mu pokazuje a sam obserwując bardzo się otwiera i dużo się uczy Jaś ma ok.8 m-cy, jest zaszczepiony, zaczipowany, wykastrowany. Jaś to koteczek, który potrzebuje czasu by zaufać, w DT trwało to ok.3 m-ce, ale teraz sam podchodzi i prosi o głaski, nie chowa się przed obcymi, daje się ładnie czesac i obcinać pazurki…typowy kotek kanapowy, do kochania i przytulania. Jest felv dodatnim, ale to nie oznacza że jest chory – jest nosicielem wirusa kociej białaczki i to wyklucza jego adopcję do domku gdzie koty są ujemne, nieszczepione p.białaczce. Kotki dodatnie żyją krócej i zawsze trzeba się liczyć z tym, że mogą zachorować i wcześniej trzeba będzie się z nimi pożegnać Jednak czy to oznacza że ma być skazany na bezdomność? Przecież jest normalnym zdrowym kotkiem, który tak jak inne chce być kochany i przytulany. On nie rozumie, czemu nikt go nie chce…i to jest jego dramat Nie ma powodów przeciez do eutanazji zdrowego kota bo jest nosicielem felv…a nie wypuścimy go na wolność bo jak zachoruje to bez opieki umrze w mękach i cierpieniu Jaś czeka na domek, w którym będzie mógł spędzić resztę życia Bez wychodzenia bo to jednak plusik (felv+).
