Cynamonka

Mixed Breed · Female

Cynamonka has been at the Shelter since mid-February this year. She is a cat of exceptional beauty and temperament, typical of a cat who needs to know her space in order to build a relationship with a person. Another typically feline trait of Cynamonka is that she is reluctant to be near other cats, therefore we suggest that she be the only cat in the home or if she were to join another cat or cats, we recommend (as always) a socialization process with isolation. Cynamonka loves being on elevated places and is adjusting at her own pace. When a relationship is established, she gladly eats treats. For the past several days, she has been receiving a preparation based on L-tryptophan, which is intended to increase her sense of security. We also have feline pheromones Feliway installed in our cattery, which help with the adaptation process. Cynamonka does not react with excessive fear to the presence of calm dogs. An ideal home for her would be a fairly calm home. Cynamonka has already spent over 170 days at the Shelter - that's a very long time for a cat, especially one of such exceptional beauty. Her delicate temperament and sensitivity require giving her some space, which will allow her to feel at home, and then gradually build trust with the caregivers in her new home. We see that Cynamonka needs a change of environment. For cats like her, adoption and a sense of security work miracles in terms of building a relationship with a person and opening up. She is one year old, which is the ideal age to start a new life. At the Shelter since: February 2025 Relationship with people: cautious, needs space Temperament: gentle, somewhat withdrawn due to the presence of other cats Relationship with dogs: does not feel comfortable in the company of active dogs, is able to function with a very calm dog Relationship with cats: prefers to be alone Relationship with children: similar to adults - needs to be left space where she can decide on initiating contact Registration number: K16/2025 Located: in the adult cat room Photos:

Jej delikatne usposobienie i wrażliwość wymagają, żeby dać jej trochę przestrzeni, dzięki której mogłaby się zadomowić, a następnie stopniowo budować zaufanie z opiekunami w nowym domu.

About Cynamonka

What life with Cynamonka looks like

Cynamonka is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Azyl dla Zwierząt w Tarnowie in Tarnów.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cynamonka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cynamonka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Azyl dla Zwierząt w Tarnowie handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cynamonka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cynamonka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Azyl dla Zwierząt w Tarnowie will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cynamonka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cynamonka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Azyl dla Zwierząt w Tarnowie early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cynamonka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
