Jasmína or briefly Mína, as we call her, was taken by the regional veterinary administration from inappropriate conditions due to the threat of death. Mína's original owner left her alone in the apartment for x days, without food and water, during summer days when the temperatures were tropical. This situation was reported by neighbors. Mína tried to get out through the window and the neighbors were afraid she would fall. When the apartment was opened by its owner, we saw a picture of chaos with a large amount of feces and an unbelievable number of fleas. Mína had literally eaten her skin, which however improved after treatment with corticoids. Mína now understands that when we leave, we will come back after work. She will not be left alone for x days anymore, she will get water every day, she will get food every day, and she will go out several times a day. However, the experiences with the original owners have caused traumas that she will overcome for a long time, perhaps even for the rest of her life. Although she has slowly come out of her fear (of being left for another x days), she is really very understanding and gentle, but she is dangerous for herself when alone. She is capable of swallowing her own collar, so it needs to be removed and she has to be left in a place where nothing can be swallowed or destroyed. This is really extremely important when looking for a home! Of course, proper socialization, training, sensitive behavior, and regular visits to a sensitive training class without a harsh approach to dogs can help a lot. We are looking for a home for her where they will love her and show her that they will never leave her again. A home where they will treat her really sensitively. Ideally, she should be an only dog. We are looking for her to be placed in an apartment, so she does not run away from the garden. Unfortunately, Mína is not suitable for a household with a cat, she has a strong hunting instinct, but she really loves people. A family that likes longer walks would definitely like Mína. We recommend her to a family with older children, Jasmínka is still learning everything and will continue to do so for a long time. Sometimes during handling (especially at the vet) she panics and flails around like a bag of chicks. One person will certainly not be able to handle her and it is easier for her to have some sensitive calming preparation in advance.
