Jerry the Pinscher

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 7 years

Little Jerry was given away by his human, we do not know any other reason for this other than "does not want anymore", very sadly... Jerry is such a nice boy! He is very polite, he walks nicely on the leash, waits for you patiently and quietly, if you stop and have a conversation with people, and enjoys to go to the dog park! He is not only polite with humans but also with other dogs, and when meeting elderly dogs on the way, he was gentle and kind, and when a big dog was barking at him, he calmly said hello and kept walking. Jerry is coming from a home environment, so we believe that most likely he will be house-trained, and will probably quickly get used to life in a new home again. Jerry loves butt scratches, to be near you and most of all, he likes snacks. It makes him a bit nervous, it seems, to sit on a higher ground, like a chair or a sofa - perhaps he was previously not allowed to sit on the sofa, or perhaps he is just nervous in the shelter environment, not knowing what is happening with his life. Jerry is very ready for his new life and would like to leave this loud place quickly. He is castrated, vaccinated, his teeth are cleaned, his blood test is excellent and his passport is ready! Jerry is available for local and international adoptions, and seeing him being kind with all humans he meets, we believe he would also make a lovely family member to a family with educated, kind children. His shoulder height is just 30cm and he weighs 7kg, which can be suitable with some airlines to travel by cabin, but not all airlines.

About Jerry the Pinscher

What life with Jerry the Pinscher looks like

Jerry the Pinscher is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Triple A Marbella in Marbella.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jerry the Pinscher, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jerry the Pinscher?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Triple A Marbella handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jerry the Pinscher on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jerry the Pinscher if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Triple A Marbella will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jerry the Pinscher already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jerry the Pinscher isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Triple A Marbella early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jerry the Pinscher and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
