Jessika (BBH cat)

British Shorthair · Female · Adult · 7 years

Come and say Hi to Jess She is a gorgeous lady with a plentiful supply of love and cuddles to offer, she gives you the look and you are instantly besotted by her! Being aware of her sensitive side and moving slowly to her she will reward you with her trust. Allowing her to find her paws within a calm and relaxed environment, we are sure she will repay you with a plentiful supply of affection. Once settled in, Jess would enjoy outside access so she can sunbathe in her own garden on warmer days. She can live with older children age 10 years and above who will give her a little time to find her paws. About Jessika (BBH cat)

What life with Jessika (BBH cat) looks like

Jessika (BBH cat) is a large adult british shorthair cat waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jessika (BBH cat), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jessika (BBH cat)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jessika (BBH cat) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jessika (BBH cat) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jessika (BBH cat) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jessika (BBH cat) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jessika (BBH cat) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
