adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Jessy is an strikingly beautiful female dog, with her beautiful fur, expressive face, and attentive gaze making her a picture of a female dog. Her wet, dark eyes look softly and calmly into the camera. Jessy seems to know what she has accomplished, having withstood the harsh conditions on the streets of Romania. Now is the right time for Jessy to leave her Romanian past behind and travel to a reliable, new home. A foster home would also make it easier for Jessy to start a better life. Currently, Jessy is together with her mother and sister in a private shelter in Baia Mare. While this place is certainly better than the public shelter, it still lacks the attention and love that a female dog like Jessy needs. Unfortunately, we do not know where the pretty female dog came from or what she has already experienced. Perhaps she has never lived in a house and must learn all the rules for a well-behaved house dog from scratch. But Jessy is smart and wants to please people. Therefore, she will surely learn quickly what is expected of a well-behaved house dog. The intelligent, young female dog should therefore leave Romania as soon as possible and find her own home. Jessy is estimated to be around 3 years old – so she has the perfect age to start anew. She is still a young female dog with her whole life ahead of her. The beautiful female dog is about 55 cm tall and has a friendly, though still somewhat shy character. Her gleaming light fur with black markings and her athletic build make us suspect that Jessy is a German Shepherd mix. Perhaps she will show typical rassetypic traits in her new home and require a lot of movement, mental stimulation, and an appropriate task. Adopters of Jessy should be prepared for this. But surely she will also develop the loyalty of a female German Shepherd and reward her owners with special devotion and fidelity. We are looking for responsible and active adopters for Jessy who will give her enough time to settle into her new living situation at her own pace and look forward to working with and training the intelligent female dog. Jessy would certainly be happy to attend positive dog training classes, as regular training and many shared activities with the pretty female dog will mentally and physically challenge her and strengthen the bond to her new owners. With lots of love, movement, and training, Jessy will quickly develop into a loving and cheerful companion. Do you want to be the person who shows Jessy how life as a house and family dog works? Then contact us. She will travel neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas with an EU pet passport to her new home. Jessy will be accompanied by a positive Jessy A special thank you goes to the namesake Mel Sch., who gave Jessy her name and thus a unique identity. As of: 25.12.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Jessy

What life with Jessy looks like

Jessy is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jessy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jessy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jessy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jessy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jessy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jessy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jessy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
