Meet Jet Jet is looking for his new home due to no fault of his own. His owner can no longer look after him due to declining health. Jet will be 9 years old in September. He is an unneutered black and tan long hair male Our volunteer describes him as a very sweet, loving, and loyal boy who enjoys the company of people. Jet needs a home that is pet and child free. He has never lived with young children or other pets He will jump up when strangers come to the house but doesn’t nip. He soon calms down Jet is very strong on the lead. He loves to sniff and mark. He doesn’t react to cars/bikes. Jet was attacked by a staffie a couple of years ago and now he can be reactive towards bigger dogs. Sometimes he is fine with smaller dogs. Due to this issue, he is no longer able to go off lead. He used to before this and his recall was good. He loves to play with his ball but can be reluctant to give it back and will turn it into a chase game with no protective issues. He can be left for 4 hours while the owner goes out. Jet doesn’t like fireworks and thunderstorms. His owner puts the radio on to disguise the sounds. Jet doesn’t like going to the vets. He doesn’t have to be muzzled. It’s difficult to get him out of the car and he will hide from the vet.
