Jet

Shih Tzu · Male · Young · 2 years

Hello everyone! 🐾 Let me introduce myself: my name is Jet, I am an adorable little dog born in October 2024. I weigh around 9-10 kg and belong to a small-sized breed. I am playful, very loving, and ready to give all my affection to the person who welcomes me into their life. Unfortunately, I have already experienced the sadness of being abandoned. My owner left me behind, and it broke my heart. It is hard to understand why someone you love would decide to leave you. Despite everything, I have not lost hope of finding someone who will truly love me. Sadly, I was diagnosed with anaplasmosis and am currently receiving treatment. I am doing my best and looking forward to a brighter future. Now I dream of having a family of my own, filled with playtime, cuddles, and happy days. I long for someone who will make me feel safe, someone who will choose me every day and never leave me behind again. I may be small, but my heart is full of love, and I cannot wait to share it with my forever family. I am currently in Albania, but for the right adoption, I can travel anywhere in Europe and to the United Kingdom within two to three weeks. 🐶 If you would like to give me a chance, I will be waiting here for you. 👉 I am vaccinated and spayed. 👉 Adoption only with an adoption contract, adoption fee, and pre-adoption home check (including RBU). 📝 Foster/adoption form: 📞 🇮🇹 Chiara (WhatsApp) – 🇬🇧 Chiara (WhatsApp only) – 🇩🇪 Sabrina (WhatsApp)

About Jet

What life with Jet looks like

Jet is a small young adult shih tzu dog waiting at Furry Rescue Italy in Nazionale.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇮🇹Adopting from Italy

Italian canili require adopters to sign a stewardship contract (affido) and may retain the right to verify the animal's wellbeing post-adoption. Animals are chipped and sterilized before leaving (Legge 281/91). Public canili rifugio typically waive adoption fees.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jet, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jet?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Furry Rescue Italy handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jet on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jet if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Furry Rescue Italy will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Jet already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jet isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Furry Rescue Italy early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jet and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
