Jett

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

BREED: Olde English Bulldog IDEAL HOME: a home with a garden LIVING WITH CHILDREN: I could live with children 15 years plus LIVING WITH DOGS:I could potentially live with another dog who is well socialised with dog but would be very happy as an only pet too LIVING WITH CATS: I’ve never lived with cats Jett is a 5-year-old Olde English Bulldog looking for his forever home. He’s a sweet-natured boy with plenty of energy and a real zest for life. Jett enjoys his walks and has been doing very well walking alongside the other dogs at the centre, he’s a big fan of small breed girls. He could potentially live with another well-socialised female dog, pending introductions, as he is comfortable in the company of other dogs. Jett could also live with older children who are confident around a strong and sometimes boisterous dog. As an Olde English Bulldog, Jett is loyal, affectionate, and people-oriented. He enjoys being part of family life and will thrive in a home where he gets plenty of attention, exercise, and interaction. Despite his sturdy build, he has a playful and active side that needs an outlet. Jett will require regular daily exercise, including walks and playtime, to keep him physically and mentally stimulated. He walks well on the lead and enjoys getting out and about. As a short-nosed (brachycephalic) breed, Jett can be prone to breathing difficulties, particularly in warm weather or during overexertion. His new owners will need to be mindful of this by avoiding exercise in the heat, ensuring he stays cool, and monitoring for any signs of breathing distress. Anyone who loves a bully breed will love Jett, he’s the right mix of calm, fun and naughtiness! Interested in adopting Jett? Call or contact us.

About Jett

What life with Jett looks like

Jett is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at SARA Ann Prosser Foundation in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jett, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jett?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SARA Ann Prosser Foundation handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jett on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jett if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SARA Ann Prosser Foundation will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jett already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jett isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SARA Ann Prosser Foundation early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jett and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
