About Jojo
Jojo is currently under the care of the vet awaiting sign-off from her spay procedure. We will gather applications and contact the successful applicant once she is ready for rehoming. Jojo is looking for an adult only home. She would like to be the only pet in the home and will require outdoor access. Jojo is a sweet little lady who has been quite shy since arriving here at the shelter. She has spent most of her time hiding away and been reluctant to interact with our staff. Recently, with the time and patience of our dedicated team, she has been spending more time on her cat tree at the front of her pen and will now take treats from us. She is a quirky lady and can seem to get frustrated around food (if we’re not giving her treats quick enough!) and can also get over-aroused when playing – she loves playing with a feather wand toy, but we keep sessions short to avoid her becoming too wound up. Jojo would be best suited to a calm and quiet home with a family who have experience of quirky cats. Jojo found children in her previous home very stressful, so would like an adult-only environment. Although she has lived with another cat and a dog previously, she was described as a timid girl who was easily stressed and would spend a lot of time hiding in her last home, so we feel she would do better as the only pet, where she doesn’t have to worry about any other animals / sharing her space and resources. Jojo has previously been kept as an indoor-only cat, however she appears to have a lot of pent-up frustration and we feel that some access to a safe, outdoor space to explore could help alleviate some of these behaviours. Jojo will undoubtedly require time, patience and understanding from her new family whilst she finds her feet when she first goes home, but we are sure that watching her be able to let her guard down and fully relax into her new environment, will make her an incredibly rewarding addition to the family.
