adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process JÖRg has found a home! 5322 Koblenz, Switzerland. JÖRg is waiting in Switzerland for your visit! His story: Bistrita, Romania. A special name, a special puppy: JÖRg – one of nine small, sweet Welpen – is looking for his own dog bed as quickly as possible! You read that right. It's nine small shelterlings we would like to introduce to you individually. We promise you, each one will steal your heart in a storm. JÖRg is a real surprise egg, and we are very curious about how he will grow up. His fur is brown-black speckled and rounded off by white highlights. What we can already give you about JÖRg is his friendly, playful, and sweet nature. Like his other siblings, he will grow to be medium-sized (max. 50-55 cm) when full-grown. Welpentypisch, he is a young and playful explorer, always on the lookout for a safe environment to grow into an alert and balanced male dog. The whole litter falls in with their nice, open, and uncomplicated nature. They get along well with other dogs, whether big, small, old, or young. The contact with cats has not yet been tested. The small puppy shelterlings are all looking for their own person who will not expect anything too big from them and will show them how a normal and safe dog life works. They are all very young dogs and still have a lot to learn according to their age. The dog ABC must be taught to them with a positively reinforcing training style – starting with house training, walking on a leash, sit, stay, come. In their first year of life, dogs should be left alone as little as possible. Additionally, the more demanding pubertal phase is still ahead. And it affects every dog, whether small or large, male or female. The hormone chaos turns the lives of the little ones upside down. They "forget" often everything they have learned so far and their ears are on full alert. Therefore, it is especially important in this phase to train consistently – but lovingly. And there is also good news: Like with us humans, this phase also passes! And what remains is a loyal dog soul with which you will hopefully spend many years together, enjoy many walks, and collect new experiences. All nine siblings deserve a safe forever home. If you decide to take the little male dog, he will come to you like all our shelterlings microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. He brings his EU pet passport with him and can be adopted after a positive JÖRg will you give the little JÖRg a safe and loving home? Many thanks Anne L.! You gave JÖRg his name!

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jörg hat sein Zuhause gefunden! 5322 Koblenz, Schweiz. Vielen Dank Anne L.! Du hast Jörg seinen Namen geschenkt!

About JÖRg

What life with JÖRg looks like

JÖRg is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting JÖRg, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about JÖRg?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw JÖRg on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt JÖRg if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is JÖRg already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if JÖRg isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know JÖRg and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
