Jumba und Stich

European Shorthair · Male

Two brothers, Jumba and Stich, are approximately 3 months old and come from a private household with little affinity for cat neutering. Stich is curious, open, very affectionate and playful. Jumba is a bit quieter and cautious, the safety of his brother is currently very important to him. But he loves cuddling. We are looking for a home for Jumba and Stich with secure windows, a secure balcony or garden. They will not be released into the wild. The two boys know many other cats, not so much small children, but they really have potential and will grow into their ears. They have already had their first vaccination and will be neutered and microchipped when they leave. Their mother is now with us, neutered and FIV and FeLV negative tested.

About Jumba und Stich

What life with Jumba und Stich looks like

Jumba und Stich is a adult european shorthair cat waiting at Straßenkatzen Köln e.V. in Köln.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jumba und Stich, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jumba und Stich?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Straßenkatzen Köln e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jumba und Stich on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jumba und Stich if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Straßenkatzen Köln e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jumba und Stich already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jumba und Stich isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Straßenkatzen Köln e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jumba und Stich and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
