Adoption Requirements Adoption Process Request this Animal Now! Adoption Requirements Adoption Process Request this Dog Now! Kamilla has found her forever home! Her Story: The stunningly beautiful female dog Kamilla, standing about 57 cm tall, was found stray on the streets of a village near Cluj. She was fortunate enough to be temporarily taken in by elderly people, but unfortunately, due to her age, they can no longer provide her with the care she needs. Now, at around 7.5 years old, Kamilla is once again facing homelessness—a fate we’re determined to spare her from. That’s why she’s been placed in one of our private foster homes in Fantanele. Visually and characteristically, Kamilla is unmistakably a Malinois mix. She perfectly embodies the fascinating contrasts inherent in this breed: On the one hand, she’s extremely energetic, dynamic, and full of drive; on the other hand, in direct contact, she proves to be an incredibly gentle, sensitive, and empathetic companion. Inside the home, she behaves pleasantly calmly and loves having a fixed, personal spot where she can retreat and relax. As a typical Malinois mix, Kamilla brings high intelligence, quick comprehension, and a strong work ethic. She’s not a dog for casual companionship and seeks people who understand her needs. In addition to plenty of physical exercise, she especially craves mental stimulation—whether through scent games, retrieving exercises, or tracking work. Equally important, however, is providing this high-energy dog with clear structures and regular periods of rest so that she can reliably wind down. We’re looking for active, experienced dog owners—ideally with experience of this breed—who appreciate the keen sensitivity of a Shepherd dog. She needs consistent yet absolutely loving and confident leadership, as she would react very sensitively to rough handling. If you’re eager to engage deeply with an intelligent dog and offer her the security of a structured home, Kamilla will become a loyal and devoted companion for life. Kamilla travels to her new home neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, and equipped with a valid EU pet passport. After a positive pre-adoption check, she can be rehomed against a protection fee. However, becoming a foster carer would also be a great first step. A heartfelt thank you goes to Hubert K., who has taken on the sponsorship of sweet Kamilla, giving her the perfect start toward a brighter future! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! About Kamilla

What life with Kamilla looks like

Kamilla is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kamilla, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kamilla?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kamilla on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kamilla if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kamilla already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kamilla isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kamilla and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
