The first time Kardut was seen in the autumn of 2023 when the mother showed her the village house. Last summer, Kardut was seen in the yard creeping around and gathering courage to approach the family. Later, the family learned from a distant neighbor that it was their former cat. They had left her behind but Kardu's mother had kicked her out of the house. Before becoming tame, she quietly let them know from behind the door that she had an empty stomach and it was mealtime. At the end of March, before the kittens were born, a whelping box was set up for her, which initially did not fit her at all, and she quietly indicated that. On the 27th of March, in the afternoon, when the family was away, she found it the best time to bring the kittens into the world. She has been an excellent mother cat. She is naturally shy, likes people and their company. The shelter has not been able to take her in yet, although they have made a couple of quick attempts. She still loudly demands food and moves around quietly.

Esimene kord nähti Kardut 2023 sügisel kui ema talle külaelu tutvustas. Kardut nähti eelmine suvi hoovis hiilimas ja julgust kogumas, et pererahvaga suhelda. Hiljem sai pererahvas kaugema naabri käest teada, et tegemist nende endise kassiga. Nad oli ta endale jätnud aga Kardu ema oli ta kodust välja löönud. Enne tubaseks jäämist andis ta häälekalt ukse taga märku, et tal on kõht tühi ja on söögiaeg. Märtsi lõpus enne poegade sündi seati talle valmis sünnitus sviit, mis talle alguses üldse ei sobinud ja andis seda häälekalt teada. 27nda märtsi peale lõunal kui pererahvas oli kodust ära, leidis ta et see on parim hetk pojad ilmale tuua. Ta on olnud suurepärane kassi emme. Ta on iseloomult pelglik, talle meeldivad inimesed ja nende lähedus. Turvakodus pole pererahvas saanud teda sülle võtta kuigi on saanud teha paar kiiret pai.
