Karis has such human, deep eyes that hold all the pain of this poor suni’s existence. We don’t know what she’s seen, but it’s likely that her previous experiences have made her wary of humans. For a long time, she tried to remain invisible, spending entire days in the shelter building. It wasn’t until months after her arrival that we saw her wag her tail—not at us, but at her canine friends on the play area. Karis gets along very well with other dogs, and they also accept her as one of their own. Karis is always balanced, calm, and wise in her interactions with other dogs. She knows how to play with both dogs and puppies, and if someone can’t behave, she won’t hesitate to let them know, but always within the boundaries of culture. She still doesn’t fully trust us, but she has learned to look us in the eye and clearly communicate when she wants to go out to the play area. Karis has never had a home, and life has taught her that she won’t get anything good from people. She is a small, red suni with a big heart and courage. This is what the dogs value in her. But through all of this, Karis is unable to meet the expectations of most people: she doesn’t accept a leash, doesn’t come for pats, although she will accept treats but looks suspiciously as if waiting for some trick people have planned for her again. We know that Karis will settle with people, but it will take a lot of time and the right conditions. She should live in a home with a garden, in a quiet neighborhood, and with a friendly canine companion. A little bit of home routine and the chance to observe home life will gradually make this female dog trust her human companions. Karis ma takie ludzkie, głębokie spojrzenie, w którym kryje się cały ból istnienia tej biednej suni. Nie wiemy, co widziała, ale to zapewne jej dotychczasowe doświadczenia sprawiły, że nie ufa ludziom. Przez długi czas starał się pozostać niewidzialna całe dnie spędzając w budzie. Minęły całe miesiące od jej przybycia gdy wreszcie zobaczyliśmy jak merda ogonem - nie do nas ale do swoich psich przyjaciół na wybiegu. Karis bardzo dobrze czuje się z innymi psami i one także przyjmują ja jak swoją. Karis w kontakcie z innymi psami jest zawsze wyważona, spokojna i mądra. Potrafi się bawić i z psami i z suczkami a jak ktoś nie potrafi się zachować nie omieszka powiedzieć co o tym sądzi, ale zawsze granicach kultury. Nam wciąż nie ufa ale nauczyła się patrzeć nam w oczy i jasno komunikuje gdy chce wyjść na wybieg. Karis nigdy nie miała domu a życie nauczyło ją, że od ludzi nic dobrego nie dostanie. Jest niewielką rudą sunią o wielkim sercu i odwadze. To cenią w niej psy. Ale przez to wszystko Karis nie jest w stanie sprostać oczekiwaniom większości ludzi: nie akceptuje smyczy, nie przychodzi po głaski, smaczki owszem przyjmie ale patrzy podejrzliwie jakby czekała jakie to znowu oszustwo ludzie jej zgotowali. My wiemy, że Karis oswoi się z ludźmi ale potrzeba na to dużo czasu i odpowiednich warunków. Powinna zamieszkać w domu z ogrodem, w cichej okolicy i koniecznie z miłym psim towarzystwem. Nie trzeba dużo robić, domowa rutyna i szansa na obserwację domowego życia sprawi że ta suczka powoli zaufa swoim ludziom.
