Het verhaal van Karolina: Karolina werd door een dierenvriendin gevonden in het plaatsje Varres, op het Griekse eiland Zakynthos. Net op tijd want ze was loops. De vrouw liep met haar eigen honden te wandelen en Carolina liep met haar mee naar haar huis, alsof het de gewoonste zaak van de wereld was. Ze was overduidelijk op zoek naar menselijk contact en veiligheid. De vrouw heeft contact opgenomen met Zakynthos Animal Welfare Fund (ZAWF) en die hebben haar in de opvang genomen. Karolina zit alweer een tijdje op een mooie opvangplek in de heuvels van Zakynthos. Toch is een gouden mand haar ideale plaatje. Karolina is geboren in september 2023 een weegt zo'n 19 kilo. Ze is gevaccineerd en gesteriliseerd. Zodra er een adoptant of gastgezin voor haar is gevonden, komt ze naar Nederland Karolina is een prachtige dame, een elegant type jachthond. Ze is ook een ontzettende lieverd, heel aanhankelijk en zachtaardig richting mensen. Ze gaat goed om met de andere honden. Ze zou prima me een reu kunnen samenwonen maar liever niet met een teefje. Daar kan ze weleens dominant op reageren. Ze is onlangs meegeweest naar een druk event in Zakynthos stad en ook dat deed ze prima. Karolina heeft heel veel van een Duitse staande korthaar. Zij heeft voldoende ruimte, uitdaging en beweging nodig. We zoeken enigszins ervaren mensen, met een huis met tuin in een groene omgeving. Karolina los laten lopen, is voorlopig niet aan de orde. Wij adviseren op den duur het loslopen te oefenen op een afgesloten terrein of aan een lange sleeplijn. Wij verwachten dat adoptanten een GPS tracker aanschaffen. Mensen moeten voldoende tijd hebben en er met haar op uit willen gaan, zodat ze haar neus lekker aan het werk kan zetten.
