Kaspa

Husky · Male · Adult · 4 years

Kaspa settles well when he's by himself, so once he is used to his new home, he could be left for 4-6 hours with a break. He is house-trained and travels really well in the car, so he will make an amazing adventure buddy! On lead, he walks well but he does occasionally pull to say hello to dogs and sniff something exciting. Kaspa can be worried by new people, so he would benefit from a quieter environment where there aren't too many visitors coming and going until he finds his feet. He has also been known to resource-guard, so his new family will need to be aware of this and ready to continue with his training. We can't wait to see this gorgeous lad settled in his forever home! Meet our striking blue eyed Husky looking for his forever home. Kaspa is usually polite with other dogs, so could potentially live with another well-mannered dog in the home. Kaspa can be worried by strange people and would prefer a quieter adult only home. Kaspa likes a fuss and will lean in when he's feeling cuddly, but he doesn't enjoy over-handling and needs support with his vet and grooming needs. He is loving, affectionate and loyal to those he’s bonded to. Kaspa will love an active, high energy household where he can get out for his exciting adventures and learn new things! Kaspa is a super boy, with bags of potential for an experienced owner.

About Kaspa

What life with Kaspa looks like

Kaspa is a adult husky dog waiting at Dogs Trust Cardiff in Cardiff.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kaspa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kaspa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Trust Cardiff handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kaspa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kaspa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Trust Cardiff will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kaspa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kaspa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Trust Cardiff early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kaspa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
