Katrien is met haar 14 jaar al wat ouder en wijzer dan de meeste katten. En dat blijkt: Katrien is een lieve dame met een onafhankelijke instelling en een eigenwijze geest. Bovenop de kast heeft ze haar territorium geclaimd en vanaf haar zachte troon, kijkt ze op alles en iedereen neer. De andere katten zijn continu met elkaar (en met haar) en met eten bezig, maar Katrien is onverstoorbaar. Ze is duidelijk wel wat gewend en ze weet wat ze wil. Katrien kwam bij ons nadat haar eigenaar overleed. Heel verdrietig voor haar en op haar leeftijd hoort een poes eigenlijk zorgeloos te genieten van haar oude dag, lekker te soezen in de vensterbank, en stierlijk verwend te worden door haar baasje(s). Dus gaan we op zoek naar precies zo’n plek. Katrien is van nature wat angstig en voorzichtig. Bij ons gaat ze lekker haar eigen gangetje, weet feilloos de lekkerste slaapplekjes te vinden, en laat zich heerlijk aanhalen - door wie ze beter kent. Maar er hoeft niet aldoor geaaid of gepraat te worden. Katrien kan prima zichzelf vermaken en haar eigen plan trekken. Om je daarna weer op te zoeken en gezellig naast je op de bank te komen. Haar ideale eigenaars geven haar de ruimte om zichzelf te zijn en geven haar de aandacht wanneer ze daar om vraagt. Voor haar zoeken we een 1 of 2 persoons huishouden, we vermoeden dat zij in een rustige omgeving het beste tot haar recht zal komen. Ook is ze vaak buiten of bij de deur te vinden en zou ze in haar nieuwe huis buitenruimte tot haar beschikking willen hebben.
