KEDZIOREK

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy

A male Kedziorek, neutered, born approximately August 2024, with a shoulder height of about 40 cm and a weight of approximately 12.3 kg, has been at the Belchatow animal shelter since August 10, 2026. Kedziorek excitedly runs onto the field with his kennel mate Opiekun 389577. Both dogs play around a bit, enjoying being outside! Agnes tells us that Kedziorek gets stressed and panicked when the leash is put on him, but once the leash is on, he calms down and can walk on a leash. A handsome dog, he owes his name to his light curls (locks). Kedziorek seeks contact with us, not overly enthusiastic, but friendly and reserved, he comes to us, allows himself to be petted and stroked, even lies on his side for gentle belly rubs, which he enjoys. He is interested in his surroundings, looks around curiously, but stays seated with us. Kedziorek is a friendly, lovable dog, relaxed when lying down. He appears rather calm here, not overly excited. He sits bravely at my side, almost a bit waiting - shy, wondering what will happen next. According to the shelter, when he arrived, he was very anxious, fearful of everything. The shelter routine overwhelmed him. He has since shed his initial fear, but is still somewhat shy, but when he is taken out of his kennel, he becomes very affectionate. Kedziorek prefers a quiet life, a new home without children would be good for him, as noise and chaos are not for this sweet, shy dog. A loving home, gentle people, peace and security will do Kedziorek well, he would surely want to come onto the couch quickly. Currently, he sits with the male Opiekun 389577 (this has to do with the kennel size and the size of the dogs), but according to the shelter, he has no problem with females. As described above, putting on the leash stresses him very much, but then walking on a leash is fine. He would probably feel more comfortable with a harness or training to overcome his fear of something being put around his neck.

(10/2026 B/KW)

About KEDZIOREK

What life with KEDZIOREK looks like

KEDZIOREK is a large puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Hundehilfe Polen in Dierkshausen.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting KEDZIOREK, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about KEDZIOREK?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hundehilfe Polen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw KEDZIOREK on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt KEDZIOREK if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hundehilfe Polen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is KEDZIOREK already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if KEDZIOREK isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hundehilfe Polen early rather than rehoming privately; they know KEDZIOREK and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
