Kimchi

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 4 years

Kimchi is a young dog around 4 years old with an unusual appearance, likely carrying spaniel genes indicated by the characteristic fringes on his paws and long ears. He's a cheerful, charming dog completely devoid of aggression towards humans. Kimchi loves walks and takes full advantage of them - he runs, plays and immerses himself in the world of smells. He adores being petted and everything related to human presence. However, on walks, he can be a bit of an individualist - if he has a different idea for the direction of the walk than the person, he may "discuss" and show his stubbornness. This could be due to his hunting genes. Kimchi likes other dogs, but not every dog will get along with him right away. In case of adoption into a home where there are already other dogs, an introductory meeting is necessary. The dog came to us from Gmina Korczyna. We recommend this charming gentleman for adoption.

Kimchi- to młody psiak, w wieku około 4 lat o niebanalnej urodzie, Prawdopodobnie ma w sobie geny spaniela, na co wskazują charakterystyczne frędzle na łapach i długie uszka. Z charakteru to wesoły, uroczy pies, całkowicie pozbawiony agresji wobec człowieka. About Kimchi

What life with Kimchi looks like

Kimchi is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kimchi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kimchi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kimchi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kimchi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kimchi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kimchi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kimchi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
