Adopt Kimi

Mixed Breed · Female

Hello, my name is Kimi, I am a few-year-old female dog of the husky breed. I arrived at the animal shelter on October 18, 2024, brought in from an intervention near Dzierżona Street, where I was wandering without supervision. When I came here, I was somewhat underweight, and my coat didn't look very good. In addition, I initially had a lack of trust, and several attempts to free my neck from the collar were challenging - here's big applause for the patience. Slowly, with small steps, I was getting used to touch. My reluctance to release me from the run to the crate also required dedication from the staff. We huskies have quite a stubborn character, so developing the right motivation was not the easiest task. Fortunately, all these stages of struggle are now history. Nevertheless, I must continue working on refining my relationship with people, it would be nice to have someone already. Here comes my request: if you sometimes like to run or are the type of person who naturally has restless legs, then certainly such a howling motivator is meant for you. I will be your personal trainer exclusively. Just give me a chance for my wise gaze to enchant you. Don't let me fade away in the animal shelter, my place is with you! I keep my space clean. I can usually be left alone, I don't have a tendency to cause destruction. Other dogs are indifferent to me at this stage. I have current vaccinations and deworming. I am already spayed. Don't delay, fill out the form and let's go for a walk...

Witajcie, mam na imię Kimi, jestem kilkuletnią suczką w typie rasy husky. Do schroniska trafiłam 18 października 2024 roku, zostałam przywieziona z interwencji z okolic ul.

About Kimi

What life with Kimi looks like

Kimi is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Zabrze in Zabrze.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kimi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kimi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Zabrze handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kimi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kimi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Zabrze will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kimi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kimi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Zabrze early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kimi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
