Kimmy

English Bulldog · Female · Young · 1 year

Kimmy is a gorgeous girl, who is very sweet and in need of a gentle, understanding home that can give her the time and confidence she needs to become the best girl in the world! Kimmy hasn't been left on her own for long before, so she would prefer a family that is around most of the time to build this up slowly. She walks well on lead, but can pull if something is super exciting! She loves to get out for her sniffy walks, and loves to explore new places. Kimmy can be worried by formal handling, and is working on wearing her muzzle in a veterinary setting. She is also worried by overhandling, so would prefer her potential adopters to be understanding with her and willing to take their time. Kimmy would prefer to be left alone during mealtimes and when chewing away on tasty treats. We can't wait to see this beautiful girl in her forever home, getting all the love she deserves! The photo we are using for Kimmy is a placeholder photo of another dog who looks very similar. Kimmy is a chocolate, fluffy Frenchie. Meet Kimmy, our beautiful 1-year old Frenchie looking for her forever home! Kimmy is a funny, lively girl who is playful and full of energy! Kimmy can be worried by new people, so would prefer for all children to be 14yrs+. She comes around quite quickly and once she loves you, you'll have a friend for life! Kimmy is a super clever girl, and would love to continue her training in her new home. At the moment, Kimmy is learning how to politely say hello to dogs as she is a bit under-socialised, so would prefer to be the only dog in the home until she builds her confidence up. Kimmy is struggling in her kennel space and is missing her home comforts, so she can't wait to get back in her forever home! Kimmy is a gorgeous girl, with a striking appearance and a personality to match. She will be such a fun companion for her new family. Her preferred home will be a quieter one, where she can build her confidence and come out of her shell in her own time.

About Kimmy

What life with Kimmy looks like

Kimmy is a young adult english bulldog dog waiting at Dogs Trust Cardiff in Cardiff.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kimmy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kimmy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Trust Cardiff handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kimmy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kimmy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Trust Cardiff will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kimmy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kimmy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Trust Cardiff early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kimmy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
