King

American Bully · Unknown · Young · 2 years

King, a neutered American Bully, born on 02.11.2024, is looking for an experienced and responsible home with people who are familiar with the breed and enjoy the further education of a young dog. King is a diligent and attentive dog who enjoys learning and wants to work with his people. At the same time, he is still in the middle of his development and still needs consistent, clear and fair guidance. He knows how to test his limits - that's why sovereign people are needed who give him security and orientation. We are specifically looking for a single place without other dogs and without children for King. His new owners should have sufficient dog experience, know the breed-typical characteristics of an American Bully and be willing to continue working with him. A quiet, stable and dog-experienced home is being sought, where King gets clear rules, reliable structures and at the same time a lot of affection. We wish for people who do not expect the perfect dog, but are willing to accompany King patiently and consistently on his further way. If you would like to get to know King and bring the necessary experience, please feel free to contact us. 🐾❤️

About King

What life with King looks like

King is a young adult american bully dog waiting at Landestierschutzverein Steiermark in Graz.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇦🇹Adopting from Austria

Austrian shelters follow the federal Tierschutzgesetz framework: adopters sign a Schutzvertrag (protection contract) committing to the animal's welfare. Spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinations are included; fees typically range €150–€350.

Frequently asked

Adopting King, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about King?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Landestierschutzverein Steiermark handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw King on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt King if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Landestierschutzverein Steiermark will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is King already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if King isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Landestierschutzverein Steiermark early rather than rehoming privately; they know King and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
