Kira &#8211

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Adult · 6 years

Kira now lives in 31246 Ilsede. All the best. Heartfelt thanks, Mr. H. Here comes Kira – a roughly 6-year-old, delicate mixed-breed lady with enchanting ears and a heart full of love! Her loving home, which she named as her own since puppyhood, had to bid farewell to the little princess recently. Her owner has unfortunately passed away, and the daughter of Kira’s best friend has no time to take care of a dog. The desperate woman turned to Arca Sevilla. Since that day, Kira has been lovingly cared for in a foster family and has never had to experience life in the animal shelter. At 12 kg, Kira is very manageable, and she shows herself to be very uncomplicated, cheerful, and modest in everyday life. She is a little shy at the beginning, but if given time to look, understand, and make contact at her own pace, the pretty mimosa will turn into a playful toy in a flash. Our fluffy heartbreaker gets along well with other dogs and could certainly become a second or third dog without any problems. Kira also has no issues with children, as long as they respect her space and don’t overwhelm her. Kira is a born snuggle ball! If you’re looking for a lively, four-legged warm bottle in the winter, you’ll find in her the perfect companion for long movie marathons and hours with your favorite reading. For Kira, we wish people with patience, heart, and humor who would like to give her time to get to know her new friend in peace. Kira still has a cuddle basket and her own ball on her wish list… Do you want to give her a permanent, loving home? Then sign up – Kira is already looking forward to being able to start her career as a family princess again!

Kira lebt jetzt in 31246 Ilsede. Alles Gute.

About Kira &#8211

What life with Kira &#8211 looks like

Kira &#8211 is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. in Gernsbach.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kira &#8211, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kira &#8211?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kira &#8211 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kira &#8211 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kira &#8211 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kira &#8211 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kira &#8211 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
