Kira3

Mixed Breed · Female

Description: Our animal welfare advocates report: Kira3 was given up by her owner in Spain because the owner had to move and could no longer care for her. From puppyhood, Kira3 had lived with her owner, knowing life in a house and a normal everyday routine. Now she sits completely confused in a kennel, not knowing what’s happening to her. When the sweet dog first arrived at the animal shelter, she was initially uncertain and shy. The poor thing was totally overwhelmed. Meanwhile, she has settled in somewhat, but she wants to find a real home as soon as possible. She’s suffering terribly. Kira3 needs close human companionship. She now also enjoys being petted—she absolutely loves it. Bodegueros are known for forming strong bonds with their people and often being very cuddly. The little Bodeguera-mix lady walks nicely on a leash and can also travel comfortably in the car without any problems. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs—there are absolutely no issues there. Now she’s urgently looking for loving people who can give her a beautiful life again. Because life in a kennel is sheer horror for the sweet Kira3. As with most animals from abroad, Kira3 will first need to adjust to life in her new home, since in Spain she’s never experienced large crowds of people or the noisy traffic of a city. But we’re confident that she’ll settle in well. We’d like to find her a home in a rural area (or on the outskirts of town), where she can enjoy nature together with her people. We’re looking for people who are prepared to patiently, with plenty of time and lots of love, help this wonderful dog get used to life and her new home. About Kira3

What life with Kira3 looks like

Kira3 is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierischgeholfen e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kira3, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kira3?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierischgeholfen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kira3 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kira3 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierischgeholfen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kira3 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kira3 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierischgeholfen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kira3 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
