Pflegehund Rosine

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

Since in Germany: December 2023 at foster home in: 26810 Westoverledingen Estimated age: born around May 2023 Estimated shoulder height: about 50 cm Animal protection dog Rosine is looking for her chance in 26810 Westoverledingen! Mistreated, kicked and locked in a box that was too small for many hours – all of this unfortunately happened to Rosine in her previous life. She still shows clear signs of it, including a scar on her nose. Despite this difficult past, the female dog is slowly regaining trust and is ready to open up to the right people. She is currently at a foster home in 26810 Westoverledingen and is waiting there for her happy ending – maybe with you? At her foster home, Rosine shows herself as a lively and friendly female dog who is initially a bit reserved but quickly warms up and then displays her open, people-oriented nature. Once she has gained trust, her cuddly side comes out, which she fully enjoys. Rosine already knows basic commands, is house-trained and walks well on a leash. Walks clearly bring her joy, which she expresses with little, funny "zoomies" along the way. The female dog can be easily excited with treats – and regularly causes a smile. We wish for Rosine experienced and active people who give her the chance she deserves so much. Since she also had bad experiences with children, she is very unsure around them, which is why we are looking for a home without children. Similarly, the sensitive dog reacts uncertainly to other four-legged animals, so she would prefer to be a "princess." Her future home should also be quiet, ideally with its own garden. Above all, a loving family is important who wants to go through life together with her and gives her the security to be able to trust people again. We wish for this fur girl people who are aware that rescue dogs come with a certain story. We can never predict how a dog will react to life in Germany. Therefore, we are looking for people who have patience, perseverance and goodwill. But one thing is certain: whoever adopts instead of buys not only gives an animal a second chance, but actively chooses against animal suffering – and for a life with a very special companion by their side. Already in love? Send us a self-disclosure form! Adoption If you are thinking about adoption, please read through the adoption process first. All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas and neutered (except puppies under 6 months and very old dogs). Dogs older than 1 year are additionally tested for Mediterranean diseases. If you have any questions, feel free to send a message to our adoption team.

In Deutschland seit: Dezember 2023 Auf Pflegestelle in: 26810 Westoverledingen Geschätztes Alter: geb. ca. Mai 2023 Geschätzte Schulterhöhe: ca. 50 cm Tierschutzhündin Rosine sucht in 26810 Westoverledingen ihre Chance!

About Pflegehund Rosine

What life with Pflegehund Rosine looks like

Pflegehund Rosine is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Hunderettung Europa e.V. in Duisburg.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pflegehund Rosine, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pflegehund Rosine?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hunderettung Europa e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pflegehund Rosine on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pflegehund Rosine if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hunderettung Europa e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pflegehund Rosine already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pflegehund Rosine isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hunderettung Europa e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pflegehund Rosine and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
