Adopt Kiran

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 6 years

Kiran is a beautiful, medium-sized mixed-breed male dog with a friendly nature and a heart full of joy. At first, he can be a bit reserved around strangers, but once he builds trust, he becomes an incredibly clingy, cheerful, and very people-oriented companion. At our shelter, Kiran is one of the absolute favorites – both among us humans and his fellow animals. He gets along excellently with female dogs and male dogs, loves to play, run around, and form new dog friendships. With his open and social demeanor, he makes it easy for other dogs to like him. Kiran is super friendly, cuddly, and playful. None of us can understand why this wonderful dog is still waiting for his home. When he is let out of his kennel, he often doesn’t know what to do with all his joy and love. It can happen that he drenches someone with kisses and eagerly seeks out closeness. Sometimes he can be a bit stormy – but we can hardly blame him, because these moments outside the kennel are often the highlight of his day. Especially striking and beautiful is Kiran’s fur: it is incredibly soft and reminiscent of a small teddy bear. Not surprisingly, we affectionately refer to him as the "Cuddle Bear." Kiran loves movement and mental stimulation. He especially loves to dart through the run and enjoy every second of his freedom. Therefore, we wish for him an active home with people who enjoy being outdoors and can provide both physical and mental stimulation. A securely fenced yard would be ideal for him.

About Kiran

What life with Kiran looks like

Kiran is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Arme Hundeseelen in Năsăud.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇷🇴Adopting from Romania

Romanian rescues handle the highest volume of cross-border adoptions in the EU. Animals are quarantined and fully vetted before transport. Reputable rescues maintain detailed health records and post-adoption follow-up.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kiran, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kiran?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Arme Hundeseelen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kiran on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kiran if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Arme Hundeseelen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kiran already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kiran isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Arme Hundeseelen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kiran and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
