On July 21, 2020, a beautiful long-haired mother cat arrived at the shelter from Vanakubjal with two boys. The boys found new homes quickly, and she did not end up in a cage and was sterilized and returned to the temporary caretaker. In the fall of 2023, it was discovered that the caretakers were moving, and for Kirju's sake, it would be more suitable to live in a barn, not between the four sides of the city center. 21.07.2020 jõudis Vanakubjalt turvakodusse kaunis pikakarvaline emane kass koos kahe pojaga. Pojad leidsid kiiresti kodud, emme läks kiibituna ja steriliseerituna tagasi tolleaegse toitja juurde. 2023 sügisel selgus, et toitjad kolivad ja kolima peab ka Kirju tema jaoks oleks sobivaim elukoht maal talukassina, mitte linnakorteri nelja seina vahel.
