Klaus II (Kruczek)

Mixed Breed · Female

Klaus II (Kruczek) - Terrier mix, medium size (can be measured) - Compatibility: females yes, males by sympathy; cats: unknown, can be tested - Current location: Animal shelter Sokolka (Poland) - Reason for relocation: lack of time Klaus, a male born in 2021, is a loving and loyal companion who longs for a home of his own. He finds shelter life difficult as he struggles to understand why he must be confined. He often appears sad and clearly shows how much he misses the company of his humans. Klaus would be happiest by his family's side, sharing everyday life with them. He enjoys human interaction and forms close bonds. He walks well on a leash and enjoys accompanying his humans on walks. With other males, compatibility is key, so introductions should be considered on a case-by-case basis. We wish for Klaus a loving home where he can finally arrive and find the security he so desperately craves. Klaus was surrendered to the shelter due to lack of time. He is suffering greatly.

About Klaus II (Kruczek)

What life with Klaus II (Kruczek) looks like

Klaus II (Kruczek) is an adult mixed breed dog waiting at Pföttchenretter mit Herz e.V. in Leichlingen.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Klaus II (Kruczek), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Klaus II (Kruczek)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pföttchenretter mit Herz e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Klaus II (Kruczek) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Klaus II (Kruczek) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pföttchenretter mit Herz e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Klaus II (Kruczek) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Klaus II (Kruczek) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pföttchenretter mit Herz e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Klaus II (Kruczek) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
