Kņopa

Female · Adult · 7 years

Seven years old (02.2019). Chip number - 900263006282515; Mixed breed; country of origin - Latvia. Health status - appropriate for age. Additional information: short-haired, vaccinated, spayed. KNOPO - a quiet, reserved beauty with a special look. KNOPO is a cat with a relatively rare and expressive blue point coloring - light, soft fur and darker accents on the nose and tail, as well as clear sky-blue eyes that give her a noble air. Her story has not been easy. KNOPO came to us along with several other kittens from unfavorable conditions, where proper care was lacking. This has affected both her health and her trust in people, and recovery has been slow, with trust in new circumstances progressing in small steps. Even now, KNOPO is still learning to feel safe - she is timid, easily confused, and accepts human presence gradually. A calm environment and understanding attitude would definitely help her do this faster. We are looking for a quiet, safe home with a responsible owner who is willing to give time to gain trust, not force and also take care of a balanced diet, which is especially important for KNOPO. For more information about the resident and adoption reservation, contact ☎️28342253, during workdays ; on weekends. Information posted 15.04.2026.

Vecums (aptuvenais): 7 gadi (02.2019.). About Kņopa

What life with Kņopa looks like

Kņopa is a adult cat waiting at Jēkabpils Dzīvnieku Patversme in Latvia.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kņopa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kņopa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Jēkabpils Dzīvnieku Patversme handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kņopa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kņopa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Jēkabpils Dzīvnieku Patversme will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kņopa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kņopa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Jēkabpils Dzīvnieku Patversme early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kņopa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (LV). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
