Knutschbär BOOGIE

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Boogie: male, born ca. 3/2025, currently (summer 2025) 32 cm, ca. 7.5 kg. Very friendly to people, dogs, and cats. Videos further below! This little sweet Boogie was thrown over the fence of the foster home of our animal rescuer in June 2025 near Craiova (Romania). No one knows where he came from or what he has experienced so far… but, he is fortunately cheerful and without fear of people. He was then directly examined by a veterinarian and vaccinated. Fortunately, everything was in order, and Boogie was unharmed! He is healthy and lively and an incredibly friendly, playful little dog. Boogie gets along well with people, dogs, and cats! We are now searching for a wonderful home for the little one, where they understand that a puppy still wants to play a lot, needs time, and still has to learn everything. Boogie travels with TRACES (= registered, legal transport), an international pet passport. He is microchipped, dewormed (depending on age) then neutered, has flea and tick medication, is vaccinated against Parvovirus, distemper, leptospirosis, rabies, and will receive his own safety harness. All these costs are included in the adoption fee, as well as the transport to Germany. Due to legal regulations, we can only place him in Germany or in a neighboring country. Before travel arrangements, Boogie will be additionally tested for Giardia and for four Mediterranean diseases using a SNAP4 test. (The test for Mediterranean diseases is not conclusive up to about 1 year of age due to the potentially long incubation period.) After three days at a German foster home, he can then move into his new home. We will then contact you by phone and gladly answer all your questions. It is very important to us that the person and the dog are happy together!

About Knutschbär BOOGIE

What life with Knutschbär BOOGIE looks like

Knutschbär BOOGIE is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierhilfe Craiova - Hilfe für rumänische Tiere e.V. in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Knutschbär BOOGIE, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Knutschbär BOOGIE?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierhilfe Craiova - Hilfe für rumänische Tiere e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Knutschbär BOOGIE on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Knutschbär BOOGIE if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierhilfe Craiova - Hilfe für rumänische Tiere e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Knutschbär BOOGIE already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Knutschbär BOOGIE isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierhilfe Craiova - Hilfe für rumänische Tiere e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Knutschbär BOOGIE and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
