adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Konrad has found its own home! His story: Konrad is one of eight brave siblings—along with Jenai, Nox, Paris, Hondo, Keani, Mandarine, and Aria—who were rescued from a tough time with their mom Jella from a ditch and brought to the this breed shelter our area. Currently, Konrad and his siblings Hondo and Keani have moved into a foster home in Romania, where they are learning what a wonderful life can be like. Konrad is about 2.5 months old and still a small puppy. He belongs to the smaller ones in the litter and has comparably short legs, which make him particularly adorable. His black fur with the cute white spot on his chin gives him a unique charm. When meeting strangers, Konrad can be a bit shy at first—especially if his siblings are not around to give him security. But with a little patience, he warms up quickly, becomes more outgoing, and loves playing or receiving affection. In the foster home, Konrad lives happily with his familiar siblings and a young girl who gives him lots of joy and security. Konrad is likely to grow to a medium size and enjoys both human company and playing with his siblings. He is open to new experiences as long as he is met with kindness and gentleness. Would you like to welcome Konrad into your family and give him a safe, loving home? Thank you, Sabrina H. for giving Konrad an identity, and now he can go on the search for his Forever Home. As of: 19.11. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Lieben Dank an Sabrina H.. Stand: 19.11.2025

About Konrad

What life with Konrad looks like

Konrad is a very small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Konrad, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Konrad?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Konrad on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Konrad if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Konrad already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Konrad isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Konrad and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
