Adopt Kratos

American Bully · Male · Adult · 4 years

KRATOS – AN ENORMOUS HEART IN A STRONG BODY Kratos has known neglect. He arrived at the shelter a few months after a difficult rescue. Yet, despite what he has been through, he has not lost the essential: his ability to love deeply. Behind his impressive physique is an extremely gentle, affectionate and human-friendly dog. Kratos loves presence, shared moments, knowing glances. He simply waits for someone to choose him for good. He will be fully fulfilled in a home without other animals, where he can finally settle down and bond calmly. He is however okay with cats that are used to dogs. After two cruciate ligament operations, Kratos is soon ready to start a new life. A life made of quiet walks, games, discoveries... and above all, a home of his own. There is one thing still to work on: a reactivity towards other animals of the same species during outings. Nothing insurmountable, with patience, kindness and appropriate guidance. And honestly... all the love that he will return to you far exceeds this effort. Kratos needs a stable, loving and responsible home for life. A home that will look beyond his size and understand that this dog deserves happiness at last. He is waiting for just one thing: someone who will say to him "it's you, forever".

About Kratos

What life with Kratos looks like

Kratos is a adult american bully dog waiting at APAGI in Le Versoud.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kratos, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kratos?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. APAGI handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kratos on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kratos if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — APAGI will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kratos already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kratos isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with APAGI early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kratos and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
