Adopt Kréker

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 3 years

Kréker is a male mixed breed dog resembling a German Shepherd, born around June 2022, who came to us from Kiskunmajsa, from a breeder/stray collection farm, after an official removal. During his previous life, he lived in poor conditions, was neglected, had fleas, and was missing some teeth. He is afraid of the leash and new situations, but shows no aggression. His trust can be gradually built, and for him, a calm, patient and predictable environment is essential. From now on, everything can change: we would like him to experience that people are not only able to hurt, but also to caress and love. There is still a long way ahead for him to leave his terrible past behind, but we believe that a loving family is waiting for him, with whom he can finally live a full dog's life: going on trips, playing, and being a full member of the family.Kréker is vaccinated and can be adopted as a family member with a neutering obligation.

About Kréker

What life with Kréker looks like

Kréker is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Fearful of leashes and new situations due to past neglect. Missing teeth. Requires patient, calm environment to build trust.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kréker, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kréker?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kréker on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kréker if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kréker already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kréker isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kréker and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
